GoodBye Pest…

…Hello Peace

When Ladybugs Aren’t So Lady-Like

They may look like ladybugs, but Asian beetles are a different story. These overwintering pests invade homes and buildings in large numbers — crawling along windows, walls, and ceilings in fall and reappearing in spring. They stain surfaces, emit a foul odor when crushed, and in some cases, even bite.

At CE Solution, we know how frustrating an Asian beetle invasion can be. That’s why our certified technicians focus on both eliminating active infestations and preventing future ones.

Why Asian Beetles Invade Midwest Homes

Asian beetles are most active in late summer and fall, seeking warmth and shelter as temperatures drop. They gather on the sunny sides of buildings and slip through cracks in siding, windows, and doors to hibernate indoors. Once inside, they often cluster in attics, wall voids, and window frames — then reemerge in spring.

Without treatment, they’ll come back year after year.

How to Identify Asian Beetles

  • Dome-shaped bodies, similar to ladybugs, but with more variation in color (light orange to red)
  • May have black spots or a black “M” marking behind the head
  • Swarming or clustering on sunny walls and windows
  • Foul smell or yellowish stains when squished
  • Appear indoors in groups, especially in fall or spring

How CE Solution Stops Asian Beetles

  • Inspection
We identify where beetles are entering and where they’re nesting

  • Perimeter Treatment
We apply targeted insecticide barriers around exterior entry points where beetles get inside

  • Indoor Treatment (If Needed)
If they’ve already entered, we’ll safely treat infested areas and remove clusters

Fall is the best time to treat proactively — but if they’re already inside, we’re ready to help right away.

Based in Niles, Michigan, CE Solution proudly serves homeowners and businesses across Michigan and Indiana.
